Ingredients

 
500g lamb mince
500g beeef mince
1 brown onion, finely chopped
1 cup fresh oregano
½ cup fresh marjoram
5 cloves of garlic
½ tsp cumin seeds
2 bay leaves
1 egg
 

Method

 
Place the lamb and beef into your food processor and pulse until well combined.
 
In a mortar and pestle pound the garlic, oregano, marjoram, bay leaves and cumin seed until a nice paste is formed, then add to the meat in the processor and blend until all incorporated.
 
Wet your hands and shape the meat mixture into small patties, place on a baking paper lined baking tray and into a pre-heated oven at 200oC for 20 minutes.
 
Serve with flat bread, salad and Tatziki.
 
Tatziki 
 

Ingredients

 
½ telegraph cucumber, grated
2 cloves of garlic, grated
200g greek yoghurt
Squeeze of lemon juice.
 

Method

 
Mix all ingredients together and place in the fridge for 1 hour before serving.
