Ingredients

 
250g plain flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons dried yeast
250ml warm water
vegetable oil
1 cup sugar

1/2 cup honey

1/2 cup water
2 teaspoons cinnamon
 

Method

 
Place the flour, salt and yeast into a large bowl and mix until well combined, then whisk in the water until the batter is smooth, cover with a teatowel and set aside to prove for 2 hours.
 
Take a saucepan and combine the sugar,honey, water and cinnamon place on the flame and bring to a boil then simmer for 5 minutes.
 
Heat a large fry pan of oil(or deep fryer) to 180oC and add a tbsp of batter and fry the doughnuts in small batches, turning when they are golden brown on one side and cook the other side, then drizzle with warm honey syrup as you serve them.
