Ingredients

 
500g firm tofu, cut into 5 cm cubes
2 tbsp of chilli paste
150g corn flour
200ml teriyaki sauce
3 tbsp honey
2 tbsp miso paste
2 tbsp corn flour, mixed with 3 tbsp water
 

Method

 
Brush the tofu on all sides with the chilli paste.
 
Dredge the chilli basted tofu in the corn flour until fully coated.
 
Deep fry the tofu at 180oC until golden brown
 
Mix together the teriyaki, honey and miso paste in a saucepan and bring to a gentle simmer, stir through the corn flour until nice and thick and serve as a dipping sauce with the crispy fried tofu.
 
(I kept the rest of the teriyaki sauce for a chicken dish.)
