Bread and Butter Pudding
1 loaf of sliced bread
100g butter un-salted, softened
200g raw brown sugar
Dash of vanilla essence
Mix together the eggs, milk cream, vanilla and half the sugar, then whisk until all combined.
Butter both sides of the bread, then butter your baking tray.
Line the baking tray with layers of bread sprinkled with sultanas.
When the tray is full pour over the egg custard and allow to sit for 5 minutes, press down lightly to ensure that the bread is soaked then sprinkle the top with the rest of the sugar.
Bake the pudding at 200oC for 25-35 minutes, serve with ice cream.
