3 spring onions roughly chopped (include green tops)
2 cloves crushed garlic
½ star anisse
½ tbsp fresh thyme
1 tsp dried chilli
¼ tsp grated nutmeg
½ tsp smoked paprika
2 tbsp brown sugar
½ tsp red wine vinegar
100ml olive oil
400g rump steak
Place all the ingredients (except the beef) into your food processor and blend until smooth.
Liberally baste the rump steaks with the “Jerk” mixture and marinate for about 1 hour
Char – grill on a hot griddle for 3-5 minutes either side.
And serve with a side of potato skins and sour cream.
