Oatmeal Cookies

500g plain flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp ground cinnamon
500g soft un-salted butter
300g raw brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
500g soft oats


Cream together the butter and sugar until smooth and creamy.
Slowly add the eggs and vanilla until all combined.
Mix together the flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and oats then fold through into the butter and egg mix
Roll the dough into 5cm balls then squash into 10 cm circles and place onto a lined baking tray and bake at 180oC for 10-15 minutes.
Allow to cool for a few minutes before moving onto a cooling rack (if you allow them to cool on the baking tray they can sometimes stick.)
