Bunless Burger

Ingredients

200g minced pork
200g minced beef
½ tsp crushed garlic
½ Spanish onion, finely chopped
¼ cup basil, finely shredded
4 slices bacon
1 brown onion, sliced into rings
4 slices cheese
Salt & pepper
Extra light olive oil
Cos lettuce leaves
Chilli Jam (refer to recipe from Monday)
Mayonnaise

Method

1. In a mixing bowl, combine the mince, Spanish onion, garlic, salt and pepper. Massage well.

2. Put a frying pan with a splash of oil on to heat. Fry the onion rings until softened. Add the bacon and fry until crispy. Set aside the bacon and onions.

3. Mould the mince mix into burger patties, then fry for approximately 2-3 minutes on each side.

4. Place down cos leaves, then place on the burger, bacon, onion, cheese, chilli jam, then a blob of mayonnaise. Enjoy.
