Paprika & Garlic Calamari

(Serves 2-4)

1 calamari tube, ½ sliced into thin rings, ½ scored and cut into 2 cm strips
2 tsp smoked calamari
1 lemon
1 lime
¼ jalapeño, finely chopped
¼ jalapeño, finely sliced (for garnish)
50-100ml extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp minced garlic


Combine the calamari with smoked paprika, the finely chopped jalapeno and minced garlic and rub together.

Heat a fry pan with 3 tbsp. of olive oil and fry the scored calamari for about 45 seconds then place into a sizzling hotpot, pour over hot oil and a squeeze of lemon.

Repeat the process with the calamari rings and a squeeze of lime juice.
Garnish with some sliced jalapeno.
Serve with crusty bread and wedges of lime.
